I’m currently attending to GIS Exam at “Università di Padova” and i’m quite satisfied of it.
They are using a lot of OpenSource softwares for teach us the secrets of territorial informative systems and i’m now using Grass 6.0, on a brand new Fedora Core installation.
Some of the opensource software used are:
- PostgreSQL + PostGIS
- JUMP
- GRASS 6.0
and obviously for the closed source counterpart:
- ESRI ArchGIS
- Autodesk Autocad MAP
